Wildlife Safety Training for Workers
This course is 3 hours in a classroom setting and uses a combination of lecture, PowerPoint presentation, student manual and class discussion.
Live Bear Pepper Spray Course
Class will be outdoors and 1 to 2 hours depending on class size. This course includes an outdoor component where each student will deploy inert pepper spray on a 3 dimensional bear target.
In this course you will learn:
- Wildlife as a hazard
- Dangerous wildlife
- Differences between Grizzly Bear and Black Bears
- Bear encounters – assessing the situation
- Ways to deal with bear attacks
- Use of bear spray
- Bear incident prevention
- Cougar protection techniques
- Elk protection techniques
- Moose protection techniques
- Ticks—how to prevent and how to remove, when to seek aid
Certification is valid for 1 year upon successful completion.
Maximum 30 students per course, minimum 15. Payment terms are net 30 days.
Classroom rental: Cost plus 10%
